Stahl Gerlafingen currently employs approx. 560 people (including 10 apprentices). 

Stahl Gerlafingen recycles scrap steel from home and abroad in the most modern and technologically advanced plant and produces approx. 687'000 tons of structural and reinforcing steel annually.

Protection of the environment has always been a primary consideration in all the Group’s operations which extend to the manufacture of reinforcing steel, steel mats and accessories, flat steel bars, universal plate and rolled wire.
